Test Details: ALK rearrangements are resistant to epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors, but may be highly sensitive to ALK inhibitors, like Xalkori (crizotinib). EGFR mutation negative cases are exclusively selected for ALK gene rearrangement by FISH.
