Test Details: This test is done to detect the presence of urinary free kappa and lambda chains in urine. There is presence of urinary free light chains in case of secretory multiple myeloma. In secretory multiple myeloma the monoclonal plasma cells secrete these light chains which ultimately get excreted from the urine. Also used to monitor treatment of patients.
