Test Details: Nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) are mycobacteria other than M. tuberculosis and M. leprae. They are also referred as mycobacteria other than tuberculosis (MOTT). NTM cause wide variety of infections commonly affecting lungs, lymph nodes and skin. The test aims to detect differentiate and identify species of NTM from cultures.
