Test Details: Dengue fever, a viral infection by nature, is transmitted to individuals through mosquito bites. NS1 antigen is found in the infected patients from first day of fever. Serologically, IgM and IgG antibodies helps in diagnosis of the dengue infection. IgM antibodies emerge within first week of onset of symptoms. While IgG antibodies emerge later and persists for a longer time. This particular test helps to detect NS1 antigen as well as the serum antibodies to aid in the diagnosis of dengue infection.
