Test Details: Detection of BCR ABL fusion gene transcripts is a marker for the presence and amount of transcriptionally active Philadelphia chromosome positive leukemia cells. The test quantitatively measures the BCR ABL RNA transcripts Major -p210(M)/ minor p190(m)/ micro p230 levels in blood/ bone marrow samples. The test is recommended for monitoring BCR ABL transcripts for assessment of targeted drug therapy in CML patients as well as for predicting progression free survival or major molecular response/relapse (MMR) during therapy.
