Test Details: Rare, aggressive extranodal neoplasm that originates from cytotoxic T cells usually expresses the T cell receptor (TCR gamma delta). Gamma delta Tc is involved in the immune response to viruses, intracellular bacteria, and parasitic protozoa. It is also involved in immune surveillance against haematological neoplasms, solid tumours and the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. Thus it is used a biomarker for diagnosis of multiple myeloma and B cell lineage.
