Test Details: Immunohistochemical testing helps to identify specific antigens (proteins) within tissue sections utilizing an antigen-specific antibody. Oct-2 protein expression is not restricted to B cells, although expression levels are much higher in these cells. Oct-2 expression is reported to be significantly greater in germinal centre derived lymphomas, although other B cell lymphomas also display high levels of expression.
