CD10 is not a cell line- or tumour-specific marker as it is expressed in a long list of tissue and tumour types of lymphoid, epithelial, and mesenchymal origin. CD10 is primarily useful in the classification of B-cell leukaemia/lymphomas and in some carcinomas like renal cell carcinoma.
