This test is done if there are symptoms of persistent or episodic high blood pressure such as headache, rapid heart rate and sweating. This test measures the amount of catecholamines in your urine. It is usually performed over a period of 24 hours.

Avoid drugs like VMA, 5 HIAA, adrenaline as well as consumption of bananas, tea, coffee, cold drink for accurate results and such history to be informed to the lab. Use 10 mL of 6 Molar HCL as preservative.
