In most people, a mild illness develops with almost no symptoms. Some may experience mild symptoms such as sore throat, mild fever, tiredness, swollen glands, malaise, etc. The Cytomegalovirus IgM Antibody test is conducted to determine whether the patient has been exposed to the CMV infection recently and/or is still carrying it.
