Test Details: The myeloproliferative disorder (MPD) also referred to as myleoproliferative neoplasms (MPN) are large group of relatively rare pathogenetically related diseases arising in the bone marrow. Polycythemia vera (PV), essential thrombocythemia (ET), idiopathic myelofibrosis (IMF) are three most common of BCR-ABL negative neoplasms.The samples are first tested for Jak2 Ex14 mutation- V617F and if negative tested for the Exon 12 mutations.
