Test Details: This test is intended for the qualitative detection of the anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) protein in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) tissue. Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) is considered as the universally accepted reference standard method for detection of ALK. ALK rearrangement-positive NSCLCs are highly sensitive to targeted therapy by Tyrosine kinase inhibitors
