Test Details: Liquid-based cytology is a technique in which cells are suspended in a liquid medium which enables monolayer slide preparation for cytomorphological evaluation along with Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) testing by PCR. Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is a major risk factor for cervical cancer. This test is an effective screening tool for early detection of precancerous lesions and thus, helps in preventing cervical cancer.
