HLA DNA Typing for Bone Marrow Transplant, 10 Antigens PCR
Number of Tests | 5 |
Test Included | HLA A, HLA B, HLA C, HLA DR, HLA DQ |
Test Details: Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) typing is of clinical significance in determining tissue compatibility or HLA matching between donor and recipient transplant patients and in the assessment of disease associations. This panel covers HLA typing for class I loci such as HLA A, HLA B, HLA C and class II loci HLA DR, HLA DQ. Accurate HLA matching between donor and patient significantly improves overall transplant survival, reduces the incidence and severity of both acute and chronic graft versus host disease (GVHD) thereby, improving the rate of engraftment. This is of utmost importance in haematopoietic marrow transplants.
