Test Details: HLA-A2 appears to stimulate peripheral blood mononuclear cells in a manner that inhibits HIV replication. HLA-A2 status may affect the clinical course of patients with left-sided colon and rectal cancer. The HLA-A2 positivity is a risk factor of Alzheimer's Disease. Moreover HLA-A2 antigen also may be associated with susceptibility to chronic lung disease in new-borns.

Sample is to be collected only after 3 days of last dialysis or after three weeks of last blood transfusion. Duly filled HLA TRF along with normal TRF, Photo Ids and photos of patient and donor are mandatory.
