Activated Protein C Resistance
Test Details: Activated protein C resistance (APCR) describes a haemostatic disorder characterized by a poor anticoagulant response to activated protein C (APC). This results in an increased risk of venous thrombosis, including deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism. This assay is used for evaluation of patients with incident or recurrent VT, patients with family history of VT and in women with recurrent miscarriage or complications of pregnancy. It may also be used for evaluating individuals with history of Arterial thrombosis.
