Erythropoietin
Test Details: Erythropeitin (EPO) is a hormone produced by the kidneys. EPO plays an important role in the production of red blood cells by bone marrow. Low level of EPO is indicative of kidney disorder and is associated with blood disorder Polycythaemia Vera. High level of EPO is indicative of iron or vitamin deficiency and is associated with secondary polycythaemia.
